Customoised Hardware:

Durable, Strong and Stylish

High-quality hardware can represent 15-30% or more of the total cost of doors and windows. Investing in premium components not only boosts security, energy efficiency, and user experience but also ensures compliance with industry standards, leading to long-term savings and greater customer satisfaction.

Why Hardware Matters?

Ensure Structural Integrity And Security

Hardware like hinges, locks, and handles is vital for the structural stability and security of system doors and windows. High-quality multi-point locking systems enhance security by distributing the locking force, reducing break-in risks by up to 50%.

Enhance Thermal and Acoustic Performance

Well-designed hardware ensures tight seals, improving thermal insulation and reducing energy costs by up to 30%. Specialised components can also enhance acoustic insulation, cutting external noise by up to 40 decibels.

Maintain Durability and Keep Low Maintenance

Durable hardware, made from corrosion-resistant materials like stainless steel, can extend the lifespan of system doors and windows over 10 years. Low-maintenance designs further reduce upkeep needs, enhancing longevity.

Add Aesthetics and User Experience

Hardware contributes to both the visual appeal and usability of doors and windows. Ergonomic designs improve ease of use, reducing the force needed to operate by up to 30%, while also complementing architectural styles.

Compliance and Standards

Quality hardware ensures compliance with industry standards, such as CE certifications, which are crucial for product reliability and customer trust.

How Do We Optimise Our Hardware Fittings?

Customisation

Custom-made components, while costlier than standard parts, offer superior quality and refinement. We have partnered with Belgium's leading hardware manufacturers to develop exclusive hardware for CIVRO, including handles, hinges, pivots, locks, and closure mechanisms. Standard hardware available on the market cannot be used with CIVRO doors and windows systems; only these custom-developed pieces can seamlessly integrate with CIVRO systems. For example, they are designed to fit CIVRO's unique small euro-groove, which, compared to the commonly used standard Euro-groove or U groove, enhances the thermal insulation properties of the profile system. Each component is branded with the CIVRO logo, ensuring consistent quality and reducing safety risks. This bespoke design underscores the prestige of owning CIVRO products.

Robust Materials

For safety-critical components like hinges, pivots, locks, bolts, and roller assemblies, we exclusively use high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, zinc alloy, and reinforced synthetic materials, and we use nickel-plated brass for cylinders. This is a significant upgrade compared to the ordinary-grade steel products commonly used in the industry. For parts like rods, reinforced synthetic materials and aluminum alloy are utilised to achieve a higher anti-burglary grade.

Special Treatment and Rigor Testing

Hardware components are the most frequently operated parts of doors and windows, and their longevity directly impacts the user experience. CIVRO's custom hardware has undergone rigorous European standard testing, meeting or even exceeding the requirements for durability, weather resistance, and strength. All hardware components used in our window systems have been treated with a special black galvanised coating. Additionally, door locks and other components are made from corrosion-resistant zinc alloy or stainless steel and feature a large adjustment range.

Tested according to European Standard EN 13126-8:2017, our hardware demonstrates superior performance. Window hardware and door locks achieve a grade 4 rating in the neutral salt spray test, with window hardware durability rated at H3 (over 20,000 cycles). Door locks excel with a cycle test of 1,000,000 cycles. Concealed door hinges reach grade 5 in corrosion resistance and exceed 500,000 cycles, meeting RC2 burglary resistance in standard configurations. Barrel door hinges achieve grade 4 in corrosion resistance, while the BT lock for sliding doors attains a grade 4 corrosion resistance and up to 200,000 cycles.

In EN 13126-8:2017, grade 4 signifies high corrosion resistance, suitable for harsh environments like coastal areas or polluted industrial zones, while grade 5 is reserved for extreme conditions, such as chemical plants or severe marine environments.

Perfect Compatibility

Achieving perfect compatibility between hardware components and the doors and windows systems they support is essential for seamless operation. CIVRO’s hardware is meticulously engineered to ensure precise alignment, smooth functionality, and effortless installation. For instance, customised hinges are tailored to fit CIVRO's small euro-groove, while X-line handles are designed to integrate seamlessly with all CIVRO systems, creating a consistent and refined appearance. This attention to detail reduces the risk of operational issues and ensures a flawless user experience. Moreover, despite the complexity of the locking mechanism, users can conveniently lock or unlock multiple points with a single, simple action, such as turning the handle or key.

Low Maintenance

Our rigorously tested high-durability hardware makes maintenance exceptionally easy. Additionally, CIVRO minimises the need for upkeep through the use of advanced materials, design, and craftsmanship. For instance, we incorporate self-lubricating window rods and self-lubricating door hinge bushes. In terms of design, the clever placement of components, such as installing the roller assembly system on both sides of the door vent, eliminates the need to remove the entire vent during maintenance. The concept of a large adjustment range, coupled with 3D (up, down, left, right, forward and backward) adjustable hinges, significantly enhances the door vent tolerance, making maintenance incredibly easy.

Experienced Sourcing

Behind every piece of CIVRO hardware is a commitment to quality, supported by our experienced sourcing team. We partner with leading suppliers who share our dedication to excellence, ensuring that every material and component meets our stringent quality standards. This collaborative approach allows us to consistently deliver hardware that excels in both form and function. main hardware fittings such as handles, hinges, lock mechanisms are purchased from over 60 years of experience supplier.
